exzellenz labor oper was founded in 2014. It is especially dear to my heart, and I am very proud of the fact that it has been developing so well. It realizes my vision of the best way to work with young singers AND pianists who are already close to or in their first years of employment.

This laboratory combines individual technical, musical, physical and mental work with team-teaching-units. In  group-sessions we reflect the development in the international opera-business.

exzellenz labor invites experienced, excellent instructors of international reputation who, in addition to their expertise, are able to devote themselves entirely to young musicians.

Since 2018, we have added exzellenz labor lied, and since 4 years, there ist exzellenz labor RETREAT for singers 35+.

exzellenz labor provides, in all formats, the finishing touch which makes the decisive difference between very good and excellent. By now, it has been attended by over 150 musicians, whose feedback and development show us that the formula really works.

Masterclasses at Opera-Studios

The challenge for young singers and pianists in opera studios is, among other things, to intelligently and confidently integrate the input of various guest instructors into their own singing and playing. I am fortunate to work regularly with the young singers and pianists of several opera studios, thereby ensuring a certain degree of continuity.

My teaching has as its technical foundations flexible, flowing breath, a slender method of vocalization, and sensible employment of the resonance cavities.

The goal is to create a stable technical framework for complete „artistic permeability,“ which will allow the singer to be free in their artistic and musical interpretations and for them to enjoy a healthy and long-term pursuit of our highly demanding profession.
